| Derivation | Animals were immunized with cells from human tonsils. Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8 myeloma cells. |

| Comments | The antibody reacts with monomorphic determinants on HLA A,B,C molecules. The antibody is cytotoxic. The antibody cross-reacts with ape, monkey and cow cells. It does not react with rabbit cells. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |
| Complete Growth Medium | The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.

| Subculturing | Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 x 105 cells/mL and maintain between 1 x 105 and 1 x 106 cells/mL.
