Animals were immunized with human tonsillar lymphocytes. Spleen cells were fused with NS-1 myeloma cells. The antibody is specific for the Bp50 (CD40) B cell surface antigen. The antibody reacts specifically with CD20 positive (Bp35, B1) blood and tonsillar B cells, and does not react with T cells or NK cells. It does react with malignant B cells and B cell lines. |

Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or by replacement of medium.
